Jeffrey Kahane (B.A. UWO, B.Ed. U of C, L.Lb U of C) graduated from law school in 2000 having been on the Dean’s list, winning the “Silver Medal” and various other awards and has been practicing in Calgary since. After articling and working in the legal department of Canadian Pacific Limited (the former parent corporation of CP Rail, CP Hotels, Fording and CP Ships) he worked for Ernst & Young’s affiliate law firm Donahue, Ernst & Young where, amongst other areas of law, he worked on major (300M+) real estate transactions. Mr. Kahane’s entrepreneurial spirit won out and he opened Kahane Law Office in 2004. High standards and excellence in customer service has seen a growth in Kahane law Office in a relatively short time frame. Providing legal assistance on as many as almost 300 real estate transactions in a single month, Kahane Law Office has been responsible for well over a Billion dollars worth of transactions.
Mr. Kahane is the father of two children and enjoys bringing a warm, caring, personable approach to the practice of law. His personal commitment to the community was recognized by the province of Alberta. He was awarded with the Alberta Centennial Medal which is conferred upon individuals who have made significant contributions to the community and society through leadership, volunteerism and community involvement. It recognizes and honours the outstanding achievements of Albertans who have gone to great lengths to make their province a better place to live, work and do business. He has volunteered his time, leadership and teaching skills to many educational institutions, community enhancement organizations and family and child service organizations. His ongoing support to our community also includes his entry into fund raising runs, walks and biking events through the year.
Mr. Kahane has also been recognized by a number of organizations for his business leadership. Calgary Inc magazine recognized Kahane Law Office as one of the best places to work in Calgary, he was nominated for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and most recently will be featured in Business in Calgary magazine’s Leaders of Tomorrow.
