    Amy A. Green (formerly Priestley) is a partner at McLeod Green Dewar LLP & Associates in Kitchener, Ontario.

    Amy is often retained to deal with high conflict family law cases, and advises her clients with respect to divorce, custody and access, child and spousal support, division of property, and marriage contracts (pre-nuptual agreements).

    Amy seeks to resolve matters in the best interests of families as early as possible in a proceeding. Separation and divorce can be extremely stressful and life-altering, and Amy strives to provide competent and strategic advice to guide her clients through this difficult time in their lives, in an approachable and relaxing manner. Amy will take the time to ensure that her clients understand each stage in their proceeding, know all of the options available to them, and feel comfortable with the process. She strives to provide clients with an honest opinion as to possible outcomes of their cases to enable clients to make the best decisions for their family.

    Amy has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Divisional Court, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court of Canada. She has also successfully represented clients in mediation proceedings.

    Amy was the Diamond Winner for Best Family Law Lawyer in the 2020 Waterloo Region Record Reader’s Choice Awards.

    In her spare time, Amy enjoys exploring the Kitchener-Waterloo area, where she resides with her husband, Dave, her daughter and son, and her three dogs. She also enjoys singing, gardening, and travelling.

    Education & Qualifications

    Amy graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology, with distinction. Amy also attended also attended Queen’s University at the Herstmonceux Castle campus in East Sussex, England, and later graduated from law school at the University of Windsor in 2006. Called to the Ontario bar in 2007, Amy completed her articles at Sutherland Mark Flemming Snyder-Penner in Kitchener, Ontario, and then became a partner at Miller Caron McLeod & Priestley in Kitchener, Ontario.
