    With two decades of Canadian and International law experience, Soni prides herself on her client-first approach to her practice. Soni understands that legal issues can be stressful and time-consuming. Her clients value her attention to detail and ability to manage difficult situations.

    Soni likes to be active in her community. She has volunteered as the Registration Coordinator for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and CIBC Run for the Cure in 2010 and as the Community Relations Officer for the Fort McMurray Gujarati Cultural Society. She has helped in raising funds for the Lawyers Collective HIV-AIDS Unit Mumbai. Lawyers Collective is an NGO committed to protecting and promoting the rights of marginalized people through legal reform and legal aid.

    Education & Qualifications

    Soni completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from Government Law College, Mumbai, India and became a member of the Bar Council of India (Maharashtra and Goa) in 2002. She was awarded a scholarship from the College of Law and International Bar Association for her Diploma in Competition Law and Mergers & Acquisitions two years later. After immigrating to Canada in 2007, Soni attended the Osgoode Hall Law School of York University in Toronto, where she obtained a Certificate of Equivalency. Her previous experience with education in India made for a unique experience for Soni. Returning to school after having practiced law in India gave her an opportunity to network with likeminded people and experience the culture of Canada. She also has a Bachelor of Legal Science (B.LS.) degree.
