Ms. Roberts made the decision to open her own office after spending eight years in the Toronto office of one of the largest law firms in Canada, where she practiced civil and commercial litigation, with specializations in class actions, employment law and banking litigation.
Following her call to the bar in 1995, she clerked for three years with the Office of the Chief Justice of the Superior Court of Justice, where she assisted (former) Chief Justice Warren Winkler with the first long trial to be held on the Commercial List in Toronto, as well as many class actions.
Ms. Roberts is very active in the community. She is vice president of the McMaster Children’s Centre, a member of the French Immersion Advisory Committee for the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, and a member of the School Council for both Dundana Public School and Sir William Osler Public School. She was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Toronto Lawyers’ Association for over ten years, and presently serves on a committee of the Hamilton Law Association.
Ms. Roberts is also an adjudicator, and is a Vice Chair of the Workplace Safety Insurance Appeals Tribunal.
