Justin de Vries is an accomplished litigator who has appeared before all levels of the Ontario Court & the Federal Court of Canada. His clients include individuals, trust companies and businesses. His area of expertise include: estate & trust, power of attorney and commercial litigation as well as probate & estate administration.

Justin was called to the Ontario Bar in 1993 and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), The Advocates' Society, and the Estate Planners Council of Oakville. He has both mediated and arbitrated disputes and has appeared before all levels of the Ontario Court and the Federal Court of Canada.

In addition to completing his LL.B., Justin received an American law degree from the University of Detroit/Mercy School of Law, an Honours B.A. from the University of Toronto, and a French language diploma from Aix-Marseille Université in France and is functionally bilingual. Justin was also a Fox Scholar at the Inns of Court in London, England.

Justin's clients include private banking groups, trust companies, individuals, estate trustees as well as private trusts and foundations. Justin's in-depth experience includes:

Justin is a long-standing instructor at the Ontario Bar Admission and a speaker at many Law Society of Upper Canada and Ontario Bar Association programs on estate and trust matters. For 15 years, Justin was a contributing editor of Ontario Civil Practice, by Watson and McGowan, a leading text in Ontario on the rules of civil procedure. He has also acted as a court appointed pre-trial judge and is currently pro-bono counsel for the Law Society of Upper Canada/Disciplinary Proceedings.

Justin has published articles in the Estates & Trusts Pensions Journal, Toronto Law Journal, Deadbeat (a publication of the Ontario Bar Association) and Money & Family Law.
